Q&A: What’s the best way to pin pants on the hanger?

In another recent post, we addressed whether or not consigning is worth your time…of course it is! But the time you put into it makes a big difference in what you get out of it. Washing, buttoning, zippering, ironing, hanging…all the “ings”. One of the things we see the most often is pants that look like this:

We found these on the rack right before we closed on our last day one season. Why? Because they weren’t priced well? No. Because they had a stain? No. They were good quality and a great bargain but they weren’t hung well so the shopper didn’t bother to look at them. Taking time to hang your items well is directly proportional to the check you’ll receive at the end of the sale.

So we want to help. Check out this video that shows how to safety pin pants to a hanger so they look their best. There are also a couple of other videos on our Consignor You Tube Channel.

The time you take to prep your items for the sale makes a huge difference in your bank account and your closet!
